Cars, Vroom, Austin

Got a little warm up lapping in the shoe car.

Had to bust out the snow suit IN NOVEMBER.
I might point out this is Colorado, not Minnesota!

Arrived in Austin, Texas and decided I'm a black hat guy.
I started the trip making a mess at the local country club restaurant.
I grabbed the carpet sweeper and helped out, 'cause that's the way my Momma raised me.

We all know the saying about Texas and size.
Who knew?  Look at that Big Ass Fan.  Seriously,
that's the company's name, and they make a 20 ft ceiling fan.

This was the Whole Foods Flagship store.
Still not sure what was going on here. . .

Nice kitty.   Would not fit in my carry on.

What is that flying car?  Apparently, we parked near a
heliport where people skip traffic.  Talk about Bucket List.
Now, time for the Big Show.  Inaugural Austin Grand Prix.
I trained myself for 6 weeks for this race. . . to keep the headphones on.

Daddy seemed inordinately pleased with the situation.
He seemed quite thirsty throughout the weekend, but they had lots of canned, imported water for sale.
Gotta keep my strength up.  Don't take my eyes off the track.

We stayed at a house on a creek.  The weather was perfect.

I was trying to point out the Texas Fire Ants to the lady,
but they ended up getting me the next day at Grandma's backyard.
Some onlookers will say I kicked the top off their hill, I dunno.

Classing it up a bit at the Duchman Family winery in the Texas Hill Country near  Driftwood, Texas.

Aunt Chris and Uncle Gene are the nicest people I've ever met.

Traveling can really get old.
